Groundhog Day!
It’s Groundhog Day! As you watch Bill Murray hilariously make the same bad choices over and over, do you wonder if you might be stuck in your own Ground Hog Day dilemma? You’ve made resolutions and set goals, but day after day you wake up to the same old routine and the same tired results. Wherever you may stand, there is always room for encouragement and growth-two things crucial for success. At PATH Realty we have set some audacious goals for the new year and we couldn’t be more excited! We don’t have any closely kept secrets or superpowers. We follow some simple steps and we refuse to stay down when life comes at us. We learn from our failures and reject discouragement. Life will never stop throwing curve balls at us, so we must prepare for them!
Surround yourself with people who not only support you but who will inspire you. Here at PATH, we connect once a week and share our personal goals, triumphs, and hang-ups. We cheer one another on and brainstorm how we can help others tackle the hard things because we know that when one of us succeeds, we all succeed. We are better together! No matter your goals, it’s not just a good idea to have a support system. It's vital.
We keep a forward-looking approach. There will be days when life knocks us down, but there will be some positives too. Positivity is infectious. Once you choose to see one good thing that came out of your day, others come into focus. Gratitude goes a long way toward being successful. Author and life coach, Susie Moore says,
“Your thoughts create your feelings, your feelings create your actions, and your actions create your life.”

Never stop visualizing and defining your goals. Start with your big goals and work your way down to the steps needed to achieve them. Success happens in the little triumphs along the way. It’s a good idea to keep a visual around so that when you need reminding, you see it. Use pictures and words and place them somewhere you will see them every day. Put your next day’s goals on your bathroom mirror so you see them when you wake up in the morning. Do something that reminds you often of what your aspirations are.
Surround yourself with people who encourage and inspire you. Focus on the positive things happening and don’t get stuck in a rut of negative self-talk. Make your goals visual and fixate on attainable progress. Those steps may be simple, but they won’t be easy. Growth is often painful and can be hard at times. But the best successes are those that are hard-won. Maybe you’re a newer agent stuck in an agency that just isn’t a good fit for you, or maybe you need to sell your home and don’t know where to start.
